Better results through systematic approach to Human Resources for Health in Yemen


A move from a fragmented ‘Personnel and Training’ system to one that implements a coordinated ‘Comprehensive System of HR development (HRD)’ is what EPOS strives to implement in the EU-funded project ‘Governance in Health – Support of Human Resources for Health’s " in Yemen. A results focused strategic planning approach as well as promoting multi-sector involvement, donor alignment and government support will be at the heart of the projects conception. It will launch at the end of January and supports the planning, coordination and monitoring of the health workforce. It aims to strengthen the stewardship role of the General Department for Human Resources Development and the General Personnel Affairs including support to the further development of a functioning and cost effective HR policy at central level.
